I was hooked riding motorbikes at 8 years of age after riding my brother’s Honda 75. I started rider training in 1992 in Cairns having raced motocross and enduro for many years.
Being passionate about rider safety and imparting knowledge to students, my wife Marnie and I moved to Brisbane in 2002 and began RideSmart Motorcycle Training.
Through our hard work, RideSmart has become one of the largest motorcycle training schools in Queensland.
Hi, I’m Doug. I’m now in my fifth year on the team and one of your friendly rider trainers here at RideSmart. I’ve been licenced for 20 years and have ridden and owned a broad range of bikes over my riding career. I’ve had the honour to work within two teams in World Superbikes and also Moto3, a truly unbelievable experience I’ll never forget. I love sport touring and getting away camping and exploring with my bikes, great friends and my family! I also enjoy scuba diving, travel and adventures with my wife and kids! I love being a rider trainer and am very passionate about helping you achieve your goals, giving you the best training you can find and ensuring your skills, safety and happiness are always catered for. I look forward to seeing you all at RideSmart Motorcycle Training soon!
I’ve been teaching at Ride Smart since 2016 and it’s a very fulfilling job. I really like sharing my joy of riding to others. I love riding my Yamaha MT09, and chances are I’m probably out and about riding right now. I look forward to helping you gain skills for many safe and enjoyable years out there.
Since the day I married my husband Warren, I got involved into the motorcycle industry. I am so passionate about customer service, helping students understand what is involved in getting their licences and making sure they are save whilst in our care.
RideSmart is my passion. I live it 24 hours, 7 days a week and wouldn’t want it any other way.
