Two fun days covering a number of skills including: the basics of operating a motorcycle, road-craft tactics, riding curves and a simulated road ride. Merging different techniques of learning; including theory , demo’s and coaching all whilst the students continue to enjoy practising the exercises. After successfully completing both Day 1 and Day 2 of this course and once you are deemed competent your declaration will be processed online and you will need to then complete your learner licence by passing a theory test online or at TMR . You then will be licensed to ride under-supervision. You must hold this license for a minimum 3mths before you can book into your RE License Course.
BEGINNER COURSE OPTIONS /must hold learners permit prior to OCT 2016
OPTION 1: ( 13hrs over 2 days)
This Course is recommended if you have minimal riding experience on a manual motorcycle. If you require extra training, further fees will apply.
Includes Day 1: 2.5hrs training and Day 2: 2.5hrs training and 8hr Qride Assessment.

OPTION 2: ( 20hrs over 3 days)
Book the Pre Learner Course which is designed specifically for Beginner Riders and add Re assessment. This is the recommended option if you have no experience or do not have recent manual driving experience, are nervous /unsure or have no riding or recent experience on a bicycle (push bike), balance is very important. If you require extra training, further fees will apply.
Includes Day 1: 6hrs training , Day 2: 6hrs training and Day 3: 8hr Qride Assessment
EXPERIENCED COURSE FOR RE / REA LICENSING 8hrs

INTERMEDIATE OPTION: Add 2.5hr Refresher Session for $80- extra.
This Course is up to 8hrs and You must have some riding experience and be riding a manual motorcycle regularly in mainstream traffic conditions and be confident with cornering and low speed clutch, gears and braking control. Extra fees will apply if should require additional training to reach competency. Some students will benefit from having a 2.5hr Refresher / Training Session on an Re or REA Motorcycle before they complete the Q-Ride Assessment.
EXPERIENCED COURSE FOR R LICENSING 4hrs
INTERMEDIATE OPTION: Add 2.5hr Refresher Session for $80- extra
Up to 4hrs. This course has minimal practise. YOU MUST have EXTENSIVE riding experience and be riding a manual motorcycle regularly in mainstream traffic conditions and be confident with cornering and low speed clutch, gears and braking control. Extra fees will apply if should require additional training to reach competency. If you have experience riding a motorcycle larger than 250cc, this will be an advantage as the 650cc motorcycle used for assessment is heavier than what most students are used to. Some, students will benefit from having a 2.5 hr Refresher/ Training Session on Re or R Motorcycle before they complete the Q-Ride Assessment.

START TIMES AND DAYS MAY VARY ON ALL COURSES. HOWEVER, COURSE’S ARE AVAILABLE MOST DAYS.
The changes apply to all new licences obtained on or after 1 October 2016 and include: 1) The requirement to complete a practical pre-learner course to obtain a motorcycle learner licence. 2) Learner riders have to hold their motorcycle learner licence for at least 3 months before progressing to a restricted (RE) licence. 3) RE licence holders must hold their RE licence for 2 years before they can apply for an R licence.
In addition: R licence holders no longer have to wait 1 year before they can carry a passenger.
Re (LAMS approved up to 660cc) motorbike training – you must hold a current RE learner licence and also have held a car licence for a minimum of 12 months prior to Oct 1st 2016 or completed a Pre Learner course
R (NON LAMS ) motorbike training –
You must hold a RE provisional or RE open motorcycle licence for at least 1 year prior to Oct 1st 2016. After Oct 1st 2016, you will need to hold the Re license for 2yrs

We cater for all levels from the absolute Beginner to the more Experienced Riders. Our courses are developed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitude to effectively ride a motorcycle or scooter safely and in accordance with the current road rules. It includes enjoyable theory and practical sessions on daily motorcycle safety checks, maintenance and setup, off and on road riding , defensive techniques and applying road craft to everyday riding situations. On completion of the course you will be issued with a Q-Ride certificate. This is not a licence, it must be presented at Queensland Transport or electronically processed to be endorsed on your licence at no additional cost.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
1) You must carry the appropriate licence/learner’s licence at all times.
2) The correct clothing must be worn including a T shirt, trousers of a thick strong material and fully enclosed shoes or boots, preferably covering the ankles.
3) Your lunch and drinks.
